How to care for your Roses, Plants and Flowers

FLOWER AND PLANTS CARE

  1. Re-cut stems with sharp knife and arrange rose in clean,
deep container filled with room temperature water.

  2. Avoid any direct source of heat.

  3. Remove any leaves that may be under water.

  4. Remove any foliage that will be below the level
    of water in your vase.

  5. It is important to check to see that the vase is
full and add preservative solution often.

  6. In the winter, guard your flowers carefully against
    sudden exposures to cold air.

  7. Keep your flowers in a cool place, out of direct
sunlight and drafts. Until you can get them in a
    flower food solution.

  8. Flower foods make flowers last longer but it is
important to follow the mixing directions
    on the flower food packet.

  9. Feed  weekly during flowering period.

  10. Do not let the newly cut end dry off before
transferring it back to your arrangement
or other container. Avoid using water from
    a water softener.

Plant Care and Flowering Plants Tips:

  1. Plants should be kept away from direct sunlight,
heating or cooling vents, directly under ceiling
    fans and  radiators.
    Keep them out of drafts.

  2. When watering, wet the soil all the way down
    and
    be careful to avoid overwatering.

  3. Add water to the container as needed and replenish
    solution every 4 days.

  4. Most flowering potted plants should be placed in
areas with the most light in order to maintain good
flower color and promote the maximum number
    of flowers to open.

  5. If you have plants with broad glossy leaves, give
them an occasional wipe over with a damp cloth.

  6. Keep plants in medium-light locations

  7. Most plants do not like the intensely bright sunshine
    of midsummer.

  8. Use the correct plant food for flowering/foliage plants.

  9. Don't panic if leaves or flowers drop, but treat your
plant normally and wait until it has settled into its new spot.

  10. Remove dead leaves and flowers as they occur.
