jewelry when applying makeup and face powder.
Rings in particular tend to collect dirt, dust and soap
behind the stones. To clean transparent gemstones,
simply soak them in warm water with a touch of gentle
soap. You can use a soft toothbrush to scrub behind the

separately to protect them and ensure long-lasting
beauty.

with a touch of ammonia in water
to remove all films that may have collected on them
and also to give them extra sparkle. These gems can
also be cleaned in an ultrasonic cleaner. An
emerald, however, must not be cleaned in an
ultrasonic cleaner, nor immersed in any kind of
detergent.

chemical solution to clean opaque gemstones, such as
turquoise, malachite, onyx, lapis lazuli and opals.
They can be porous and may absorb chemicals, which
build up inside the stone and cause discoloration.
Simply wipe them gently with a moist cloth until
clean. Opals should not exposed to heat and strong
light.
- Be careful, Organic gemstone like pearls,
coral, and amber are soft and porous. They should be
wiped clean with a moist cloth.
Due to their organic
nature, these gems are both soft and porous.
Do not expose these gems to hairspray, perfume or
cosmetics, which can damage them over time. Pearls
are especially vulnerable to the chemicals in these
products.
